有甜花香气。凝固时成叶状或长方形板状结晶，粘度13.8mPa·s。不溶于水，水中溶解度2.8%（质量）。溶于丙酮、苯、氯仿、醇、石蜡油和丙烯；极易溶于乙醚，不溶于甘油水。有甜的花香。1-Decanol was used as an extraction solvent in the determination of several toxic phenolic compounds present in cigarette smoke by single-drop microextraction in combination with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry
