能升华。约在200℃分解。微溶于水，溶于乙醇、丙酮、和三氯甲烷等，不溶于醚。溶于浓硫酸中呈红色。在氨性溶液中与Co2+、Ni2+、Pd2+、Cu2+、Ru3+和Fe3+等形成不溶于水的有色配合物。用于光度浊度测定铜、镍、钴。也可用于光度法或电位滴定法测定铜。并可定性检出Co2+、Cu2+、Ni2+、Ru3+。

As modifier to prepare the modified glassy carbon electrode, used to investigate the electrochemical properties of quercetin, an important flavonoid derivative. 3. Synthesis of new chelating resin of dithiooxamide (rubeanic acid)-formaldehyde (DTOF), used in separation and concentration of silver ions. 4. Synthesis of N,N′-disubstituted dithiooxamides.
